Why would a recent study name Nigerians the happiest people on earth? Well the reason is - they live in Nigeria- the Heart of Africa!
I know that Nigeria might not make your list of top tourist destinations. This is understandable. Nigeria has its share of Negative publicity. However there is something unique about my country that many people who visited once keep coming back as soon as their schedule permits.
When you visit Naija ( as it is fondly called by locals), you are not just visiting one country, actually over 250 different group of people live here. Each has their own distinct language, culture, food, and way of life that dates as far back as the 4th Century BC. Born and raised in this country, I have been to twenty-five of its thirty-six states. I did not just pass through them; I have slept, ate and experienced first hand the rich diverse cultures, the exotic foods, the beautiful sceneries and tropical forests of this country.
All year round there are exciting arrays of things to keep you busy exploring for days.
Some of the things you can do in Nigeria include
- Experience African culture through the numerous thrilling and exciting festivals.
Relax and enjoy in one of the Lagos coastal beaches.
- Visit one of the National Parks for a spectacular view of wildlife and endangered species. (I will tell you all about these parks, how to get there, what to expect and much more!)
- Enjoy the scenic views of the beautiful waterfalls and other natural landmarks.
- Experience nature by visiting the imposing Rocks and Ancient caves
- Visit the National Theater and other museums where original African arts are displayed.
- With 140 million people and abundant Natural resources there are limitless business opportunities here too!
